Donation of Items As we set up apartments for the use of newly arriving refugee families, we are constantly in need of good used furniture. We accept anything that will make refugee lives more comfortable, but we most desperately need these basic items: couches, kitchen tables and chairs, coffee tables, dressers, beds, lamps, end tables, TV's and VCR's. Contact our Resettlement Specialist, Oscar Ortiz at 817-924-0748 or Oortiz@wr.org about making a donation. We can arrange for furniture pick-up in nearby areas. Donation of Cars As any resident of the DFW metroplex knows, cars are vital to a productive life here. As they are getting their first jobs in the U.S., it is necessary for refugees to have a way to get there! Donation of Time
You can offer your time to work with an individual family or a special project at our office. Our refugee clients need help with transportation, English practice, navigating American systems and just plain friendship. For more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Kent Jaggers at 817-924-0748 or kjaggers@wr.org. You can fill out a Volunteer Application. Download and send the completed form to Kent Jaggers. It can be sent via US postal, attached to an email, faxed or, best of all, hand delivered to our office where we can meet you personally. Donation of Financial Resources Cash donations allow us to meet the greatest, most pressing, unique, and urgent needs. At times these occur unexpectedly. Local funds also help support World Relief staff, some of whom are students, and fills financial gaps in regular personnel needs. To make a donation on-line click here - Secure Donation.
