  Peace

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation." – 2 Corinthians 5:18

It is a time of uncertainty for many in Africa.  Several conflict-torn nations – including Burundi, Rwanda, Kenya, and Sudan – are on the brink of national elections.

A fragile peace hangs in the balance, and people are looking to the Church for the solution. Many believe the Church can achieve what others have found so elusive – a framework for lasting peace and reconciliation.

At this pivotal moment in Africa’s history, churches are grasping the full meaning of Jesus’ words in the Sermon on the Mount – “Blessed are the peacemakers.”

Local churches are building a movement towards peace, and churches worldwide are coming alongside to help them.

The Church hears the cry for peace. Will you join us in being peacemakers?
