Welcome to World Relief DuPage/Aurora's Second Annual Conference, From Overseas to the Chicago Suburbs, and join us in Looking Toward the Future of working with immigrants and refugees in our suburban communities.

Plenary Speaker: Mawi Asgedom
As a child, Mawi fled civil war in Ethiopia and survived a Sudanese refugee camp for three years. After being resettled in Wheaton, IL., Mawi overcame welfare, language barriers and personal tragedy to graduate from Harvard University. Since 1999, Mawi has dedicated himself to uplifting America's teenagers. Mawi's bestselling memoir, "Of Beetles and Angels: A Boy's Remarkable Journey from a Refugee Camp to Harvard", has been read by hundreds of schools and communities.

"Of Beetles and Angels" will be on sale at the conference.
A book signing will follow Mawi's address.
