Sample Letter For Walkers

Copy and paste the letter below into your email for potential donors.

Dear (insert name):

I hope you are enjoying the start of fall!

I am beginning this fall season by participating in an exciting event -- the Walk for Economic Empowerment, to be held Saturday, October 9. As you may know, almost half of the people in our world live on less than $2 per day. It's a much different world than most of us know, but it's a world I am reaching out to by raising funds for World Relief’s Savings for Life initiative. Visit www.SavingsForLife.net for more information.

Please consider sponsoring me on October 9th! All the funds I raise will go to support World Relief's Savings For Life programs in Rwanda and Kenya. Savings For Life reaches out to the most rural and poverty-stricken regions, where banks and formal institutions don't reach. Just $25 can help an individual form a local savings and credit association and receive valuable financial literacy training to help them break the cycle of poverty.

To sponsor me:
1) Donate online directly through my personal fundraising page! Click here (Insert Your personal fundraising page URL) and give via credit card. After you donate, look back at my fundraising thermometer to see how your contribution has helped me edge closer to meeting my personal fundraising goal! OR:

2) Send me a check made out to World Relief and mail it to my home address, which is: Name, Address, City, State, Zip In either case, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt and thanks from World Relief for joining me in making a difference in the lives of those less materially fortunate than us. Thanks for considering supporting me in this! I am excited to be able to do something that will help the materially poor in our world and know that I will be blessed by doing it as well!

With much appreciation,
