BALTIMORE, Md. – In response to the new initiative the Department of State launched to find and return abducted Ukrainian children taken by withdrawing Russian troops, World Relief issued the following statement, attributable to Hannah Daniel, Director of Government Relations:

“In times of war and conflict, children too often pay the highest price. We are encouraged by and grateful for the Department of State’s new initiative to find and return the estimated 35,000 children who have been forcibly taken from their homes and families by Russian troops. World Relief has long petitioned President and First Lady Trump to prioritize the reunification of these children with their families, and this initiative is an important step in that direction. We will continue to pray and advocate until each of these children is returned safely home.”
