Christian Advocacy: Welcoming the Stranger

Learn how the church can engage in policy discussions in non-partisan ways guided by our Christian faith.

It’s both our mission and our privilege at World Relief to empower local churches throughout Texas to love their foreign-born neighbors in tangible ways.

As local churches seek to welcome, serve and learn from their new refugee and immigrant neighbors, many encounter systemic challenges that prevent these immigrant neighbors from fully integrating and flourishing in our communities.

Don't miss this opportunity to connect with local pastors and leaders while learning and asking questions about balancing Romans 13 and God's heart for refugees and other immigrants.

You will hear from Matt Soerens, Vice President of Advocacy for World Relief, a retired border patrol agent and a Dreamer as we discuss how Scripture should inform our response to immigration issues, current needs among the immigrant and refugee communities, and strategies for discipling churches on these issues.

Together we can become a community of welcome.
