We believe in welcoming and loving refugees in the Upstate as our own* and are eager to show hospitality to our new neighbors** from all backgrounds and countries.

World Relief Upstate SC is a Christian refguee resettlment agency walking alongside refugees from all over the world who are rebuilding their lives in the Upstate.

This is not only a statement of our values, but also a testimoney to those who arrive that we want them here, regardless of their background. This belief is not simply based on the inherent value each of us has as image bearers of God, but is establisehd throughout scripture:
* Leviticus 19:34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
** Romans 12:13 Share with the Lord's people who are in need, being eager to practice hospitality and love for strangers (φιλοξενία philoxenia).
