Volunteer Opportunities in Orange County & Los Angeles

We all want to make a difference in the world. It’s part of how we are designed. At World Relief, we believe making a difference is a two-way street. Over the past 40+ years, we’ve been guiding people like you to volunteering in ways that make a lasting impact. You can bring your gifts, abilities and interests, and World Relief will help you connect and walk alongside families and individuals as they rebuild their lives in Southern California.

We are so excited to partner with you as you grow, learn, and make a difference through volunteering. Learn more about World Relief, our mission and volunteer expectations and guidelines in our Volunteer Handbook here.

Note: Due to precautions around COVID-19, many of our volunteer opportunities are currently operating virtually and may vary by office location. While volunteering may look different, your involvement is needed now more than ever!

Orange County & Los Angeles Volunteer Opportunities

"Volunteering at World Relief Southern California has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As an intern, I had the privilege of assisting the immigration specialists in clerical work, translating important documents, preparing for DACA workshops, and other related duties. I learned so much about the immigration process. I also had the opportunity to form relationships with our community's refugee children through the Little Brushstrokes art program. Every team member at World Relief Southern California fostered knowledge and growth in me. The team created an environment of service, love, and generosity. Every day I volunteered, I felt valued and appreciated. I am forever grateful to World Relief Southern California for allowing me to invest my time in a cause that is meaningful and dear to my heart."

“I first joined the World Relief team as a volunteer in the summer of 2018. I had completed my first year as an undergrad at UCLA, where I took a class that shed light on the difficulties and trauma that accompany the immigrant experience in America. Everyone at the office was incredibly hospitable and eager to help. They assigned projects and tasks that taught me a lot about the intricacies of immigration law. The team at World Relief always maintained a positive attitude and there was always work to be done, which made every day at the office enjoyable and fulfilling. I’m glad to be back, learning about immigration and providing some help during these unprecedented times."
