A lot has changed for refugee and immigrant communities in the last few weeks. Amid the confusion, the barrage of news, and often conflicting reports, World Relief Upstate remains committed to serving the families the Lord has entrusted to us.
This February we held an info session to provide up-to-date information to clarify what’s happening with refugee resettlement and how communities in South Carolina are now impacted.
In the recap, hear an update from Matthew Soerens, World Relief’s Vice President of Advocacy and Policy, about the stop-work-order, the current state of refugee resettlement, immigration policies and the status of the federal funding freeze.
Brandon Baughn, Director of World Relief Upstate SC, will also address how the refugee families we recently welcomed to Greenville and Spartanburg counties are being impacted.
Lastly, learn encouraging updates on how the local community and church partners are stepping up to meet the most critical needs of the families we serve.
