Children & Youth Support

Immigrant and refugee youth face significant challenges as they try to adapt to American culture, reestablish community and friendships, and adjust to new schooling and educational expectations.

These obstacles can be crippling. But they don’t have to be.

BORDER TRIP 2021

Little Brushstrokes – Refugee Kids Art Program (LB) was founded to provide outlets for creativity and space for immigrant and refugee children to ‘simply be kids.’

At World Relief SoCal, our desire is to see these youth and families flourish and reach their fullest potential, despite the early obstacles they face upon immigrating.

We work to facilitate the healthy integration of immigrant youth into life in the United States through our Little Brushstrokes-Refugee Kids Art Program (LB) and Teen Empowerment Academy (TEA) by connecting youth through art, summer camps, mentorship, mental health resources, and other community integration opportunities.

Little Brushstrokes provides monthly therapy art sessions in both Orange County and at the Border. Currently, over 40 children are served with a monthly social distancing art kit – giving each child the opportunity to experiment with an array of art mediums. Please note that all art kits are distributed within Orange County and you can help us put them together!

Every month, Little Brushstrokes goes to EL Chaparral, Tijuana, Mexico where thousands of families from all over the world are currently displaced.
