Stage 4:
Samandar's biggest dream now is to become a nurse, buy a house, and bring his family to the U. S. one day. Seeking safety is a right, and it needs to be upheld for every person. We have to remember that this could happen to anyone, anywhere. Refugees don't just escape a place. Each day, they have to escape a thousand memories until they've put enough time and distance between themselves and their trauma to wake up to a better day.
We want you to look at Samandar's portrait and think, what if this picture was me? How would I like to be treated in a foreign land? You have answered the call to boldly engage the world’s greatest crises in partnership with the Church.
