A Warm Welcome

Helping refugees and immigrants adjust to Chicagoland winters

Untitled design (12)

Many newly arriving families are coming from warmer climates. For some, this is the first time they'll see snow!  While this can be exciting, Midwesterners know our winters can be brutal - especially for our new neighbors who aren't used to it.

You can make a difference that's felt this year by extending a warm welcome.

Here are two ways to make that happen.

Donate to Our Top Needs

(Please keep winter donations only to the following items)

• Winter Items: coats (adult), gloves, hats, scarves

Welcome Kits: includes all the essential items needed for newly arriving refugees as they start their new life here in Chicagoland.

Bedding: twin comforters and twin sheets (new and almost new)

Gift cards: Walmart, Target, Amazon
Gift cards allow parents to purchase snow pants and boots for their students. (Please mail them to World Relief Chicagoland, 191 S Gary Ave. Ste 130. Carol Stream, IL 60188)

Give Toward Housing

A warm home is a vital need for families new to the United States.

Your donation will help find permanent housing options for newly arriving families.
