Samandar is an Afghan who worked as an interpreter for the US Marines for 2 years in his country. As a consequence, His life was in danger, and was considered a traitor by the Taliban. This was the reason why he had to leave and look for an SIV (Special Immigrant visa) to come to the USA at the expense of leaving his family in Afghanistan.
