Saba plans to study medicine. But when she arrived in the US two years ago, she faced a huge challenge. Due to the conflict in her home country, she was missing the documents to prove her education and get started pursuing her dreams here.
With the support of our Workforce Development team, today Saba is on a pre-med track. She carefully arranged her schedule so she can do school in the mornings and work full-time second shift at an assisted living center in order to meet her financial needs. Recently, she faced another challenge…
Her family’s car broke down during the holidays and was beyond reasonable repair. It would have cost over $2,000. Thankfully, your car donations kept her going!
“A car doesn’t have to be fancy,” Saba said about her new 2010 Nissan Versa. “It helps me do everything I need to do in daily life. With God’s help, I’ve managed to keep learning and do everything.”
In the long journey from a conflict zone to the land of opportunity, you can be a part of change that lasts. Simple acts of support help people like Saba pursue their God-given passions. Donate a car, or tell others about our car donation program.
