The Initial Resettlement Education Coordinator will be responsible for improving two critical areas of core Cultural Orientation (CO) and community navigation support classes. First, they will tailor, update, and improve CO curriculum and assessments, design a workflows to support cohort and hybrid classes, establish roles and responsibilities in client tracking, as well as create and plan, in-field contextualization (like public transit training). They will work closely with the integration unit to ensure critical topics are being taught in all initial training classes and will access Home Office and CORE/Switchboard TA, as needed. They will also ensure Sacramento has completed all CO and required training before September 30th, 2021.

Housing Coordinator (Temporary)

The Housing Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and cultivating housing leads, creating outreach materials relevant to landlords and apartment managers, securing units, and developing a database for housing opportunities and operational support related to securing housing for newly arrived refugees. This position will work in collaboration with the Housing Specialist to explore new areas and develop a network of property management companies and landlords with the goal of increasing access to housing for refugee families. Additionally, as needed, this position will support Resettlement Caseworkers with the logistics of housing set-ups including furniture and supplies, utility hook-ups, facilitating lease signings, payments, and arranging safety inspections.

Volunteer and Internship Coordinator (Temporary)

This position will work in collaboration with the program leads to identify, refine, and define volunteer and intern support roles, tasks, and necessary competencies, as well as with existing staff who support volunteer and intern operations. Success in this role requires taking initiative, building user-friendly and scalable processes and systems, cultivating relationships with local colleges and community service agencies, and developing and delivering relevant collateral.
