Purposeful Generosity
Thurs, November 7th | 6-7:30pm | Spokane Valley Library
Remarkably, we begin asking about generosity when we are children, and the question persists throughout our lives. As we age, the question becomes more nuanced with considerations of whether to continue in generosity, how to overcome obstacles, and where to give that strategically makes a difference. And, even after we give, there is a holy discontent as injustice is juxtaposed with how blessed our lives are overall. Furthermore, how do we raise a future generation with generous hearts? In this interactive presentation, we will ask, reflect, challenge, and ultimately transform our ideas and even our lives into action based on a kind heart. Don't miss out on this opportunity to become more purposefully generous.
Speaker: Mark Michaelis
Mark and Elisabeth Michaelis founded IntelliTect, a high-end software architecture and consulting firm in Spokane, Washington, because they wanted the means to help people who live on the margins of poverty, specifically, people who are unlikely to get help otherwise.
Their “IntelliTeam” has made a dream of partnering with organizations fighting to eliminate poverty and injustice locally and worldwide a reality, because all people deserve an opportunity for success. For more on these projects, go to intellitect.com/philanthropy.
When not bonding with his computer, adventuring across Africa with his son, or brainstorming about the next big idea to be discovered, Mark is searching for his next adventure, occasionally with his dog, Wrigley, in tow.
