The Community Ambassador role is designed to contribute to the process of building capacity within World Relief, the Afghan community, and general community, to promote the integration and empowerment of newcomers who have arrived as part of Operation Allies Welcome or since that time. This team member would be stationed in the office, working with teams to ensure newcomers have access to services provided through World Relief, especially Afghan women, and would be part of the ambassador’s teams efforts to support a warm welcome of newcomers and also actively gather feedback.

The Community Ambassador (CA) team is a group of trusted messengers who serve their communities by hosting welcoming events, doing outreach, collecting feedback, and staffing a drop-in Friendship Center. The Community Ambassador Admin Assistant will support the Community Ambassador team as they expand to a second location and set up the new Friendship Center with systems, supplies and structures to welcome newcomers through both sites.  This role is temporary, for up to six months.

The Intake, Assessment and Referral Specialist will be participate in outreach among newcomers, doing intake assessments and connecting potential participants with resources and services. They will support newcomers as they access both internal and external resources, providing assistance, coaching and interpretation.

World Relief seeks an Integration and Wellness Specialist who will empower refugees and other eligible immigrants, working with them toward stability and self-sufficiency. The Specialist will collaborate with colleagues and community partners as they provide direct services and act as a bridge and a coach to resources in the community.

The Education Center Enrollment Coordinator role is designed to contribute to the process of building capacity within World Relief to serve Afghan newcomers, especially women, supporting them through the education center team’s outreach to, enrollments in and provision of services that support newcomers by empowering them with the educational knowledge and experience that will allow them to flourish and build strong connections and community in their new home.

World Relief seeks an Economic Empowerment Specialist to function as an integral member of a dynamic team to provide a wide variety of employment services to refugees and immigrants who need assistance finding a job, learning about the American workplace, and developing life and job skills. This position works directly with clients, employers, World Relief staff, and other community partners including the Department of Social and Health Services.

The Resettlement Caseworker Assistant is a new and unique role that supports the Resettlement team to assist newly arrived refugees in compliance with the R&P Cooperative Agreement and MG Program Guidelines and World Relief’s Mission, Vision and Values and policies. This is done through direct support services with the team and indirectly through supporting volunteers that walk with these newcomers.
