Make an Impact that Lasts

Volunteer Opportunities with World Relief

We all want to make a difference in the world. It’s part of how we are designed. At World Relief, we believe making a difference is a two-way street. Over the past 40+ years, we’ve been guiding people like you to volunteering in ways that make a lasting impact. You can bring your gifts, abilities and interests, and World Relief will help you connect and walk alongside families and individuals as they rebuild their lives in Spokane.

We are so excited to partner with you as you grow, learn, and make a difference through volunteering. Learn more about World Relief, our mission and volunteer expectations and guidelines in our Volunteer Handbook here.

"When I came here with my mom, we weren't aware of a lot of resources that were available to us, so there was a lot of 'figuring out.' So, I decided to become a volunteer to help others who, like me, come here from different countries."

"I was thinking about something I could do with the tools I had and what skill I had that would be helpful, that would do something for people. I didn’t have a great original passion for refugees, but I do pretty much now. Once I got to World Relief and saw what was going on, it just seemed like the right thing to do."

- Ron, Volunteer

"I volunteer because for me, on a personal level, lot of these folks are like me and are having similar experiences like I did back in the day. I'm originally from Katmandu, Nepal, so I'm an immigrant along with my family. World Relief seems like the organization in Spokane that's working to help refugees and immigrants, so I try to do my part as a volunteer. Just being able to provide that support, even just a little bit− I'm not saying I'm making like a mountain of difference − but just to help a little bit makes me feel good."
