From survival to stability.

Maryolga fled Venezuela with her 15-year-old daughter and elderly mother, escaping political unrest and economic instability. They spent eight difficult years in Colombia with practically nothing before finally being resettled in the United States as refugees.

In Chicago, they were warmly welcomed by World Relief and joyfully reunited with Maryolga’s 19-year-old son. Her journey has been long and full of hardship, but the compassion of people like you has helped carry her through.

There are many more, like Maryolga, who still need support. We can’t walk with them without you.

Will you stand alongside them and be the hands and feet of Jesus?

World Relief and refugee resettlement today

With the U.S. Reception and Placement refugee program suspended, refugees in the U.S. still need our help. Refugee resettlement has never been just a 90-day process. We have always been here for the long haul.

Our work doesn’t stop at arrival. Once basic needs like food, shelter and safety are met, the journey toward belonging begins. Together, alongside the church, volunteers and our new refugee and immigrant neighbors, we invest in long-term community integration through:

✅  Adult Education Programs that equip individuals with the English language and cultural skills for work, life and community.
✅  ESL Tutoring that strengthens proficiency and supports English language learning.
✅  Church and Community Engagement that fosters belonging, provides psychosocial support and maximizes community assets.
✅  Fast-Track Employment Programs that help individuals secure stable jobs quickly, addressing labor market shortages.
✅  Job Upskilling Initiatives that open doors to higher-wage, meaningful employment and meet industry demands for specialized skills.
✅  Employment Mentorship Programs that foster professional development, network and career exploration with trusted career industry mentors.
✅  Immigration Legal Services that support a pathway to citizenship.

These aren’t just services — they are pathways to flourishing lives. And none of this happens without you, the church, who are at the heart of this work, walking alongside refugees and immigrants as they rebuild their lives.

Will you show up when no one will? Will you be the church?
