Associate English Language Instructor (Part Time)

This position has the primary responsibility for providing English language instruction for adult refugees and immigrants from literacy to advanced-level language learners. This position helps students gain practical English language proficiency for self-sufficiency, community engagement/communication, further education, and/or employment and career advancement in the United States. Instructors facilitate students moving toward stability and healthy integration in their communities and workplaces. Instruction may occur in a variety of modalities: in-person, hybrid model, or remote during day or evening hours. Instruction may include a literacy, English Language Acquisition, or career-based focus. This position collaborates with other instructors and other departments to meet student needs. This part time role is for 24 hours per week.

World Relief seeks an Intensive Case Specialist. This position provides case management for immigrant clients who require non-routine care beyond the scope of primary case management services. This position has responsibility for providing intensive case management services to clients with complex medical conditions and clients facing multiple vulnerabilities including LGBT clients, HIV-positive clients, survivors of torture, single parents, clients with psychological conditions or at risk of suicide, elderly clients, disabled clients, or young adult clients without parents. Client service plans will be goal-focused and time-bound with a focus on the client’s ability to become independent from WRDA in meeting needs. World Relief seeks a TESOL/ESL Program Coordinator & Instructor to serve World Relief Chicagoland. This role will provide program coordination and instruction for the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and English as a Second language (ESL) course, as well as career and employment-readiness, and elective classes. This role will also provide programming for adult immigrants and refugees. The position is 38 hours per week, with the majority of hours allocated towards program coordination. Key responsibilities include facilitating student registrations, standardized assessments and technology support, recording and organizing program data, maintaining program equipment, assisting with grant writing, reporting and program development, providing student referral services, and teaching. If you are a highly organized and detail-oriented person with skills in teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/English as a Second language (ESL), this role may be a good fit for you!

World Relief Chicagoland seeks an experienced, people-oriented Volunteer Mobilization Coordinator to join the Volunteer Engagement team, empowering volunteers to come alongside refugees and immigrants across Chicagoland. In working closely with volunteer coordinators, the goal of this position is to process, screen, and connect volunteers with service opportunities within WR’s ministry, including Immigration Legal Services, Immigrant Family Services, Education (ELL) services, and general office needs. The position is responsible for assisting volunteers through the application process, training, and referring volunteers to the appropriate department, as well as taking a lead role in recruitment, data accuracy, and metrics tracking in collaboration with the national Community Engagement team of World Relief. This role also works closely with the Chicagoland Church Mobilization team in communicating volunteer needs to church partners and updating church partners about their members’ participation in service.
