The Wellness Navigator provides health related health education and individual coaching to refugees and other eligible immigrants in the Triangle Region of North Carolina. The primary function of this position is to assist newly arrived refugees to learn to navigate the local health system and to gain increased essential health literacy. The Wellness Navigator must be a native speaker of Swahili.

The Employment Coordinator provides employment services to newly arrived refugees and other eligible immigrant through the federally funded Matching Grant (MG) and State funded Refugee Support Services (RSS) programs. The coordinator cultivates and maintains relationships with employers, conducts job readiness training, places refugees in jobs, and provides post-employment follow-up services.

The Resettlement Associate provides data and case management support to World Relief Durham’s Resettlement team. This staff member conducts data entry in the state Refugee Information System to track and report on services provided through State funded programs. The Resettlement Associate also provides direct client services in support of the Resettlement Coordinator(s) and Job Developer(s).

The Employment Services Manager provides leadership of World Relief Durham’s Employment Services team. The Employment team works to empower newly arrived refugees to achieve financial self-sufficiency through a combination of employment services, case management, and adult education through the Matching Grant (MG) and Refugee Support Services (RSS) programs. The Manager engages in ongoing community engagement to develop new employment partners and opportunities for newly arrived refugees.

The Senior Employment Specialist leads World Relief Durham’s (WRD) job placement services for newly arrived and ORR eligible refugees in the Triangle region of North Carolina, through the Matching Grant (MG) and Refugee Support Services (RSS) programs. The Senior Specialist cultivates and maintains relationships with employers, prepares and places refugees in appropriate employment opportunities, and provides post-placement follow-up services. The Senior Specialist supervises two Employment Coordinators and ensures all job placement services are carried out with excellence.
