Volunteer Hours

Why log hours?

Your volunteer hours help fund refugee resettlement resources! Through a government matching grant, volunteer hours are valued at up to $31.80 per hour. Those funds are funneled back into our early employment program to help newcomers find jobs in their new community in western Washington. When you log your hours each time you volunteer, it truly makes a difference.

Step 1: Log in to your Portal Account

Step 2: Log Hours

Click on "Log Hours"
Click on the blue "Create" button.
Enter the:
1. Date: Date you volunteered
2. Client First and Last Name: If you did not serve a client you can leave this blank
3. Donated Hours: How much time you spent volunteering
4. Donated Mileage: Only log miles driven with a client (i.e. driving someone to your home after picking them up from the Detention Center). Do not log miles to or from the volunteer opportunity if you are not driving a client
5. Activity: If you are unsure what activity code to use please reach out to your Volunteer Coordinator
6. Notes: Add a short, detailed note of the volunteer activity you completed (examples listed below)
