For over a year, just like you, we have been following the news as the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border has developed into a crisis for families. We’ve insisted that children belong with their parents – not in jail-like detention facilities.

A recently-announced regulation would allow children to be held in detention throughout the process of their court hearings, which can in some cases be months or even years. We believe it is an important moment for Christians to act and speak for vulnerable children and families. We have been talking to many trusted partners on the front lines of immigration policy changes and rulings to get accurate information as well as to learn of ways a church can help.
