Welcome Hub

Jesus said: “I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” (Matthew 25:35)

God’s call to recognize him in “the stranger” — the foreigner, the immigrant, the outsider — is an ancient call.  At times, the Church embraced the call, at others, she rejected it. What will she do today?

The number of people forcibly displaced from their homes has reached the highest point in recorded history. Hundreds of millions of people have been driven from their homes as a result of three growing and interconnected realities — violent conflict, climate change and extreme poverty.

Is your church hearing the Spirit whisper “It’s time to see Jesus in the face of the stranger”?
