Event Speakers and Panelists

Eeva Sallinen Simard currently serves as the Integral Mission Advisor at World Relief. Previous to this role, she was the Chief of Party for the SCOPE Project at World Relief, which aimed to support health outcomes for mothers and babies. Eeva more than ten years of experience working with missional NGOs from research to ministry. She is cofounder of BE Development Partners, a consulting firm that trains organizations to develop belonging cultures. Eeva holds an MSc in international politics from the University of Helsinki and an MBA from John Hopkins University, and she is a coconvener of the Wheaton Consortium for Development, Gender, and Christianity.

Jimmy Tuhaise is the Country Director for World Relief in Ukraine. Jimmy has been working in Ukraine since the inception of the war. He has over 20 year of humanitarian experience working in war affected countries, and he is a Christian with a passion for church empowerment.

Dr. Matt Fretwell is an internationally recognized leader in non-profit organizations, cross-cultural engagement, and church planting. He holds a Doctorate in Reproducible Disciple-Making and currently serves as Director of Spiritual Formation at World Relief and Professor of Missiology at Regent University. With over 20 years of experience as a church planter, professor, executive director, and trainer to leaders in diverse contexts, Dr. Fretwell is passionate about equipping the church to build bridges across cultures and generations. Rooted in both scholarship and hands-on ministry, his work has empowered communities from urban centers to rural villages, helping churches and organizations align with the Spirit for transformative mission.
