WHAT WE DO // OUR SERVICES

Advocacy &
Public Policy

Together, we can influence those in positions of power who can save and change lives.

At World Relief, our commitment to advocate alongside the poor, the oppressed and the displaced is based on the example of Jesus. We believe that such advocacy is an important witness to a watching world about the character of Jesus.

We consider it an essential task to engage and challenge the church, reminding leaders and congregations alike that our Christian faith should compel us to seek justice and mercy for those who are suffering.

Build a Movement for Justice

As a leader in the evangelical Christian space, we are committed to being informed, working together with partner organizations and shedding light on injustices in order to create flourishing for all.

For 80 years, we have been mobilizing Christians to advocate for public policies guided by biblical principles that address systemic injustices and enable us to better love our neighbors.

World Relief’s Stance on Advocacy

A core call of World Relief is that we empower local churches to serve and stand with the vulnerable. It is essential to engage the American church and remind leaders and congregations that our Christian faith should compel us to seek justice and mercy for the suffering. In increasingly divisive times, we are proud to be a leading and thoughtful voice in the U.S. evangelical community.

World Relief intercedes on behalf of those who are in poverty or without protection, in order to influence those in positions of power who can save and improve lives. We seek to not only defend and speak on the behalf of the vulnerable, but with and alongside them. Our commitment is based on biblical truths and on the example of Jesus. We believe that such advocacy is an important witness to a watching world about the character of Jesus.

Much of this messaging is part of a broader campaign called He Gets Us that aims to help people recognize that Jesus was a human being who can identify with us…
