Critical funding for refugees and families in need is gone. Families in crisis need your support.

Support U.S. Foreign Assistance

U.S. Foreign Assistance plays a vital role in saving lives around the world as well as supporting the strategic national interests of America. Humanitarian and development organizations like World Relief partner with the U.S. government to deliver lifesaving aid in fragile contexts around the world. This work includes alleviating poverty, controlling the spread of disease, supplying vital medication, bringing basic education to children and more.

The current stop-work orders and 90-day pause in foreign assistance are not only costly but will also have a long-term impact on U.S. global influence and leadership. Because of these orders, medicine and life-saving care has been halted in communities that depend on this support. Clean water has been cut off in places like Haiti, where cholera outbreaks threaten the lives of children and families. Maternal health services in South Sudan have shuttered, leaving mothers and their young babies at risk of disease. Also, food distribution for those fleeing violence and instability in Sudan cannot continue.

Our most important partner will always be the church — and we are actively inviting our church partners, donors, volunteers and other supporters to step into this gap, allowing us to serve those to whom we’ve already made commitments as well and holistically as possible. For years, in addition to our strong church partnerships, World Relief has also worked with the U.S. government to address the needs of the world’s greatest crises. We have seen firsthand how this work can transform communities facing vulnerability, and how these investments build goodwill globally and reflect core American values.

Leaders from both sides of the political aisle have agreed that the U.S.’s role in international development and humanitarian aid strengthens the United States’ global standing and saves lives. Urge your members of Congress to advocate for the current administration to continue this life-saving work during the 90-day review. Ask them to support ongoing funding for U.S. foreign assistance beyond the review—for the benefit of both the world and the U.S.
