Please be aware of the following guidance from the Department of State

On March 15th, DHS Secretary Mayorkas announced the designation of Afghanistan for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months. Afghans who continuously resided in the U.S. since March 15, 2022 will be eligible for TPS, provided they meet the other requirements.  Individuals who attempt to travel to the United States after March 15, 2022 will not be eligible for TPS. USCIS still has to publish the TPS notice in the Federal Register before eligible Afghans can begin to apply. We will notify practitioners once USCIS publishes the notice in the Federal Register.
