World Relief Wisconsin has a new office in Eau Claire, thanks to a growing partnership with Valleybrook Church. The move gives our local team, including Newcomer Support Specialist Faith Hafermann, a new home downtown and creates more opportunities to serve refugees and other immigrants while partnering with the local church.

While many families are building towards stable futures, policy changes around Medicaid eligibility and coverage are creating new challenges for some households already navigating financial pressures and complex systems.

Like many staff at World Relief Wisconsin, Kelly Ropson grew up in a church which taught her to “Love My Neighbor.” As an adult, she has worked to unpack that value through studies at church and in a master’s degree program.

At World Relief Wisconsin, we celebrate the power of welcome. And we are excited to join the Chippewa Valley community for Welcoming Week Sept. 10-19.

After an EF-3 tornado tore through Wisconsin’s Fox Valley, refugee families faced renewed displacement and urgent needs. In the days that followed, churches, community partners and World Relief Wisconsin came together to provide practical support and temporary housing.

In partnership with churches, community organizations and generous supporters like you, we continued to walk alongside refugees as they rebuilt their lives here in Wisconsin in 2025. Check out our 2025 annual report.

Throughout June, in honor of Refugee Awareness Month, World Relief Wisconsin is collecting letters and care packages to be distributed to refugees in our communities, to help them believe in more belonging. 

In recent months, increased immigration enforcement activity has brought new uncertainty into the lives of refugee and immigrant families across our communities.
In response, World Relief Wisconsin has taken intentional steps to help families prepare for what may come, while remaining rooted in dignity and relationship.
