Legal Support

We have a proven history in providing high quality, low cost legal services to the immigrant community in over 60 locations across the country. The need for these services are increasing every day and we are struggling to keep up with demand. Your gift can help us meet these needs and ensure proper care and support for vulnerable families. Last year alone we provided this service to 10,750 individuals; help us increase that number today.

In addition, World Relief legal staff (immigration attorneys and accredited legal representatives) are ready to head to the U.S.-Mexico border to work with partner legal agencies to provide legal support and guidance to parents and children at the center of the crisis. Unlike in criminal cases, families—and even unaccompanied children—facing immigration court proceedings are not provided an attorney, so having competent, caring legal support is vital.

Advocacy & Church Mobilization

Even with great attorneys pleading their cases, many children will still be separated from parents unless policies change. World Relief equips local churches to lift their voices, challenging our elected officials to reverse new policies that have precipitated this crisis. We believe that, as Christians, we are compelled to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” (Proverbs 31:8). The church has a unique moral voice, and we’re committed to helping her speak up out of her biblical conviction that children belong with their parents, not in jail-like detention facilities.

Ongoing Family Reunification

Through our network of local offices and support to church-based immigration clinics throughout the country, we help immigrant families to be reunited with loved ones abroad, helping to assess eligibility and file applications for family reunification visas. Last year we helped to reunite over 1,000 families.  Today your gift will help us keep families together.
