World Relief knows that refugees need help at every step along their journey—internationally and here in the U.S. Here’s what we do:
PROVIDE VITAL SERVICES
When families are forced to flee their homes, we work with local partners meeting refugees at their first point of safety to provide basic humanitarian assistance—clean water, tarps, hygiene kits and other essential items—to families living in temporary housing.
As refugee families realize they may never return home, they often face an overwhelming loss of hope. World Relief and its partners provide psychosocial trauma counseling to those affected by violence and displacement, family strengthening programs including mother and parent groups and safe spaces and literacy clubs for refugee children to learn, grow and play.
When a refugee arrives in the U.S., a new journey begins—one toward integration and belonging. We welcome refugees at the airport and help them find housing, learn English, pursue employment, build friendships and create long-term support systems. All of this with the end goal that refugees feel like neighbors, not strangers.
Your donation supports World Relief to serve refugees through our programs in the Middle East and the United States.
