Become a Host Home

Open your home to a refugee family

Do you have extra space in your home? Are you willing to open your home to newly arrived refugee families?

Through World Relief’s Host Home Program, you can welcome refugees seeking safety and rebuilding their lives in the U.S. by providing temporary housing.

We believe God created people like you to make a difference. Today, you can embody Christ-like welcome and biblical hospitality by becoming a Host Home!

What is a Host Home?

Host Homes provide a shared or connected space for newly arrived refugees as they await permanent housing. Hosts provide housing for at least 6 weeks for each individual or family they welcome.

As a Host, you will play an important role in helping refugees feel safe, welcomed and connected in their new community. As you build cross-cultural connections with those you host, you may even discover life-long friendships!

And we at World Relief will walk with you each step of your hosting journey — providing essential training, resources and support.

“I just felt like God was saying, ‘How can you use this extra space?’ ... I feel my home is totally a blessing from God.”

— Julie Simpson, Host Home Volunteer in San Diego, CA
